Lone Star Top

It's done, finished, complete... the top that is.  If you look closely at the blue back ground fabric, it has a top and bottom, and the print is large!  So, the cutting of the back ground took some time, and planning, and then some seam ripping, picking, re-cutting and re-sewing!  Ha, but finally a completed top that I am pleased with.

This pattern in a favorite inspirational book, Freddy and Gwen Collaborate Again, by Freddy Moran and Gwen Marston, their version shown on page 165.

I was also inspired by quilts made by my great, great grandmother shown in posts here and here.

It's almost Friday! Yay!

  1. This quilt is so cool - I love the colors and the tiny peace signs. Your grannies would be so proud of your Lone Star.
