Lone Star Top

It's done, finished, complete... the top that is.  If you look closely at the blue back ground fabric, it has a top and bottom, and the print is large!  So, the cutting of the back ground took some time, and planning, and then some seam ripping, picking, re-cutting and re-sewing!  Ha, but finally a completed top that I am pleased with.

This pattern in a favorite inspirational book, Freddy and Gwen Collaborate Again, by Freddy Moran and Gwen Marston, their version shown on page 165.

I was also inspired by quilts made by my great, great grandmother shown in posts here and here.

It's almost Friday! Yay!

  1. This quilt is so cool - I love the colors and the tiny peace signs. Your grannies would be so proud of your Lone Star.

  2. WOW! Very awesome. It is so colorful and cheerful. Wonderful job!

  3. As Beulah would say, "You done goood." Can we plan a jaunt to Galveston?

  4. Yet another masterpiece! It is truly a work of art!

  5. beautiful!!!! I love the background fabric you chose!
