Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you are having a restful holiday, I'm working on finishing the quilting on my first selvage quilt, and made a couple of key fobs this morning.

One for me and one for my girl the ball player.

Happy Memorial Day!

Finish! Dia de Los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos is now officially classified as a finish!  Pieced and designed by the Kelly Girl Quilter and expertly quilted by Judy Irish.  The quilting is fabulous!  I am linking up to the Bloggers' Quilt Festival to show it off!

Judy's quilting just adds the finishing touches; skeletons, flowers, houses, stars, applique and FMQ, it doesn't get much better than that in my book!

I love the way it's heavily stitched to make the
flower really POP, and the intricate design...sigh!

Stars and Moon Basket

I had promised my friend Amber a basket for do-dads on her changing table and finally got around to it this weekend  (Baby Liam is almost 2 month old...yikes!)

And , here it is with my new baby, a garage sale find, works great... can you see me smiling?

Also, I had quilted a signature into the Stars and Moon quilt...

Have a great week!

Obsession!

I am going to admit what you probably already know, I am obessesed with selvages!  The Selvage Quilt, Log Cabin Style is officially a flimsy, king sized as you can see here.

I made a 14" border for the bottom of the quilt, you really won't see it as the foot board will cover it, also made a 3 1/2" border for both edges...

and here's a favorite selvage,

Happy stitching.
